Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary is near the area of Peppara Dam which is built on the Karmana River. It is home to several animals like gaur, sambar, elephants, barking deer and wild boar. You will find different indigenous birds like the Malabar Grey Hornbill, Small Sunbird and White-bellied Treepie here. 

3. Mini Zoo 

Mini Zoo is another significant location to explore near Ponmudi Hill, it is also the perfect destination for families as children love watching animals at the zoo. The major attractions at this zoo are Swamp deer and Barasingha for the visitors. 

4. Agasthyakoodam

Agasthyakoodam, the second-highest peak in Kerala is one of the prettiest places to explore in Ponmudi. 5. Meenmutty Falls
