Struggling for Stubs? Here's How I Built a Stacked Team in MLB The Show 26 -MMOEXP
Has anyone else felt like earning MLB The Show 26 Stubs is getting tougher than before? Card investing feels more limited, rewards aren’t as generous, and top players keep getting pricier.
Is it even possible without spending money?
Has anyone else felt like earning MLB The Show 26 Stubs is getting tougher than before? Card investing feels more limited, rewards aren’t as generous, and top players keep getting pricier. Keeping up with new content can feel overwhelming—but after a lot of time in Diamond Dynasty, I’ve found that smart planning beats spending. Here are a few simple strategies that helped me build a competitive team without wasting resources.
1. Stop burning Stubs on packs
I used to chase pack luck – terrible idea.
What turned it around:
- Finish Programs and Moments – guaranteed rewards.
- Sweep Conquest maps – boring but reliable.
- No pack buying with Stubs. Ever. Save for things you choose.
Honest question: How many Stubs did you lose to packs this week?
2. Collections = game changer
I ignored Collections at first – big mistake. Once I committed to one division (AL Central), the rewards (hello, Victor Martinez) beat any pack pull.
- Pick one division, stick to it.
- Target the elite reward (Chipper, Martinez, etc.).
- Don’t buy random players – that’s how Stubs disappear.
Wish I’d done this from day one.
3. Power isn’t everything
I stacked sluggers – then faced a good pitcher and struck out 14 times. Embarrassing.
Now I mix:
- Contact hitters for rallies
- Switch hitters to mess with opponents
- Speed to pressure defence
Balanced lineups score more consistently. **What’s your lineup style – power or mix?**
4. Pitching wins close games
I invested everything in hitters – my rotation was trash. Then I faced a 99 overall ace and got wrecked.
Now I:
- Spend on one ace starter first
- Build a bullpen with variety (lefty, flamethrower, junkballer)
- Mix speeds – fastball up, off-speed down
First perfect game came after I finally invested in pitching.
5.Who’s this for?
New players, NMS grinders, or anyone tired of wasting Stubs. These strategies save you from my rookie mistakes – faster roster upgrades, fewer regrets.
6.One quick tip that saved me
Always try to keep a reserve of Stubs (50–100k if you can) before big content drops. Some players also mention they sometimes buy MLB Stubs just to stay flexible when the market gets crazy. That way, you can grab new players or finish Collections without panic-selling your core roster. It’s not about having millions – just don’t get caught empty.
Your turn – pack addict, collection chaser, or market flipper? What’s your biggest Stub mistake so far? ????
And honestly, the best card isn’t always the highest overall – it’s the one you actually know how to use.
