Season 15 gives Rune Words a much bigger role in character progression, with the Horadric Cube sitting at the centre of the system. Rather than waiting for one perfect drop, you can clean up a normal base, place in the required Runes, and turn an ordinary item into a useful part of your build. That makes Diablo 4 Items feel less disposable, especially during levelling when upgrades come and go quickly. The approach is fairly simple, but the order matters. For these recipes, you don't need to obsess over strict Rune placement. Stealth and Insight can carry a new character through the early stages, while Enigma is a serious long-term project for players pushing Torment. A little preparation before each craft saves more time than chasing a replacement after an expensive mistake.

Start with Stealth
Stealth is the easiest first target, and it works well because its recipe is modest: Tal plus Eth in suitable chest armour. Both Runes tend to arrive early enough that you don't need to push difficult content just to make the item. The Cube helps here too. If a useful base has awkward affixes, you can remove them and turn the piece into a clean normal base before using the recipe. That's a lot less frustrating than searching for a blank chest with exactly the right stats. Stealth adds resource generation, attack speed, movement speed, and maximum Life. Those bonuses are easy to notice while levelling. Resource issues feel less sharp, travel is quicker, and a fragile character gets some extra room. You can keep it for several stages instead of replacing every slot after each minor drop.
Move to Insight Next
Insight becomes the next sensible craft once your basic setup feels stable. Its recipe uses Ral, Tir, Tal, and Sol, and the word fits compatible two-handed weapons such as staffs and polearms. It isn't only a damage boost. Insight also supports resource generation, which can change the rhythm of a build that keeps running dry during longer fights. Many players overlook it because the materials look common, yet a basic Insight can stay useful into the middle Torment stages. That's good value from a craft you can make relatively early. Don't throw rare materials at a high-end project while your character still needs this sort of dependable support. Build Stealth first, add Insight when the Runes are ready, and let your regular drops handle the smaller upgrades around them. If you change builds later, the same weapon can still be useful, so the investment doesn't feel wasted.
Plan Enigma Before You Spend
Enigma deserves a different approach. The recipe calls for Jah, Ith, and Ber, with Ber usually creating the real bottleneck. Its teleport-style movement can cut down travel time, help you reach dense monster packs, and make repositioning far less awkward in serious Torment content. The cost is high, though, so the base needs attention before any Runes go into the Cube. Use a normal chest with 900 Item Power. Check that number yourself; a lower base can hold back the finished piece and leave expensive materials tied to an avoidable mistake. Enigma can also roll Greater Affixes, which gives well-funded players a reason to make another version later. That doesn't mean you should remake it on impulse. Compare the current item with your build, then decide whether the possible gain justifies another Ber. The Cube has a separate late-game interaction as well: a normal Rune Word can be upgraded to Mythic quality with Resplendent Sparks, then salvaged for Mythic-quality Rune materials. The guide also describes combining regular Runes with those stacks to produce Mythic-grade Runes. Clear your stash and mark the relevant materials before trying it, and check the current game version first.
Final Thoughts
A clean route through the season starts with the dependable crafts and builds towards Enigma at a pace your character can support. Worldstone Keep becomes a useful place to gather Ber materials once high Torment is open. Focus on strong Ancient enemy groups rather than dragging every run through the whole dungeon, then reset and repeat. Royal Gems, Runes, and Mythic crafting materials all add value to the trip. Bale runs are worth mixing in when you want Resplendent Sparks, Prime Evil Splinters, or rare Uniques such as Stone of Jordan and Leoric's Crown. Ber can also be made from two Lum Runes and one Grand Topaz, so lower-tier farming still has a purpose. Keep some Diablo 4 Gold available for the rest of your gearing costs, and don't spend rare materials just because they're sitting in the stash. If you decide to buy diablo 4 mats, use them to finish a planned upgrade, check the base first, and keep the rest of your season's progress earned through play.
